My story
Remember, Re-present, ReimagineAs a Holocaust Educator, my expertise lies in developing and using creative resources to remember, re-present and reimagine the Holocaust to students of all ages, and their teachers. I believe that creative teaching of the Holocaust, from past histories, to teaching about contemporary places and people has the potential to develop young people’s understanding of their place in the world and so help them to reflect on their own identity.
To gain a meaningful understanding of the Holocaust, we need students to really connect to it. This can often be achieved through creating an atmosphere that engages students and inspires them to ask the questions they need to, in order to enhance their conception of the Holocaust.
With extensive experience in teaching as well as creative writing, I am perfectly positioned to bring your students compelling exercises and experiences as well as teachers a better grasp on both why and how to teach this difficult, challenging and world-changing part of history. If you think my services could benefit your curriculum and your students, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me today. I’m friendly and approachable with the experience and expertise necessary to provide education on the Holocaust that is engaging and contemporary. Whether you want in person educational services, virtual classroom support or development of your own teaching of the subject, I offer a totally bespoke approach for your specific needs. Contact me and see what I can do for you and your students.

My writings
In my studies, I have used poetry and magical realism to tell the stories of real events related to Torah Scrolls, which were rescued during the Holocaust as well as the testimonies of survivors. Post my academic career, I have gone on to develop this work so that it can be used to engage pupils in school with both my own visits to places as well as my writing.
I find this to be a really useful tool in helping students respond in creative ways to challenging events in our history while also developing their own creative writing.
